Been hearing about twitting,  ???  Not sure can you get a disease from that?
No, seriously I've heard about it but not sure how to go about it. I understand its a limited character posting system. Maybe I'll follow you sometime and check it out. Is it subject oriented or you just twitt in general?  ;D  Wouldn't want to twitt in front of people I didn't know.

I don't even send text messages on my cell phone let alone 'twitting' or whatever it's called.  As it is I waste enough time on the stupid internet.

The world is becoming more confusing to me every day.  I don't go looking for ways to add to the confusion.  :D

I see it as a good thing. The more ways in which people with natural affinities can form networks, the better. It's basically a variation of the internet forum, but using a more recent generation of technology.

Nope... I'm homophobic.  Not gonna twit, tweet, flit, flap or anything like that.  Heck I don't even chat.  Youtube sounds slightly gay to me too...  I avoid it like it has AIDS and a pair of handcuffs.

Yeah I have Twitter account.  I rarely tweet myself though - I mostly just subscribe to other's.

Essentially, people sign up, and you can then "follow" that person.  Friends, celebrities, websites, whatever.  When that person then "tweets" a message (basically like a txt message on a phone), it goes out to everyone who is following them on twitter.  You can also send direct messages but that's kinda defeating the point of the app (ie, direct messages were working just fine with email and regular SMS messaging :)).

It can be fun, and useful depending on how you schedule things.  A friend might tweet out for example "Party at my place - Friday evening".  Then nobody has to wonder and call around when they ask "I wonder what Mike's doing this weekend . . .".  Or sometimes just random thoughts.   It's just another way to communicate, which is always good :).
