Ruger .45C Super Bisquero
« on: April 10, 2009, 07:21:50 AM »

OK, it's a Vaquero with a Super frame and a Bisley hammer, a 5" ejector housing, 6" barrel,
free spin pawl, smoothed and lightened action and trigger, Stag grips.  A neighbor of mine has had it for about a yr. doing a little engraving.  I finally got it back yesterday, I was so glad to see it I had to show it off.  Hope it doesn't snow too bad tomorrow so I can go shoot it.

Definately a keeper!!  Some do not like the 'Super' grip frame but I have always liked it's look and feel.  You have a beautiful gun there!  Any chance of some close up's on the engraving?  44 Man

Thanks, 44 man, it's not anything really fancy but it does dress it up.  The engraver does top notch work, mostly Bulimo, photograph type stuff.  He knows little about guns so I help him out by disassembling them for him.  One day he said give me a gun and I'll do some engraving on it, this is the result.   Lot of engravers don't like Ruger stainless, it's tough.
He made my day!

That's ok, shoot it all you want.  It will mean more to him someday to know that was your 'go to' pistol and you loved and used it.  44 Man
