I think the Coleman vs. Franken thing will turn out this way:

1) There are two issues: the outcome of the race, and the process used to decide it.

2) I believe Franken will win the race

3) The process used in the canvassing board process needs to be challenged as high as the federal supreme court, if necessary. The process used was not consistent from county to county, and is therefore tainted. I do not believe that the board was deliberately doing anything wrong, but they made judgement errors that need to be challenged, and precedents set.

4) There is absolutely no reason to rush the process. Coleman, dirtbag that he is, deserves full due process with no shortcuts.

5) Franken as senator will be a good thing, because it sends such a strong message to the republicans that their only option is to mend their ways and do what it takes to return to power.

Sure wish our guy that represents Michigan republicans would jump sides....I'd pour a shot and celebrate myself!

He was barely even a RINO before...no surprise, just disappointing.
The lines between parties continue to soften every day, there are a lot of Repubs like him.

I don't like any of it, but maybe it will be a wake-up call. It would be nice if all of those people who claim to espouse conservative principles would actually spend a little time and VOTE!

Questor.
I just don't like the idea of the FEDERAL courts ruling on how states setup voting.  Now, I do agree that all voters should have equal rights and anything the state is doing to prevent it should be handled at the fed level.  Remember Florida?

Maybe this will get the GOP to pull the head out of the ass and stand behind the blue collar man.

No surprise, He would have really surprised me if he had decided to become a true Republican.

I could really care less which side he is on.
What bothers me is the damage that will happen now because the dumbycraps have enough votes to over ride any vetos and can pretty much do as they please!

They already had the majority...and already can pass more gun laws at the fed level,  they already have what they need, regardless of Spector calling himself a Dem or a Rep.  It's not like the majority of republicans there are conservative or anything.

Your right to own a gun does not come from a piece of paper either....none of your rights do.
They come from your creator...and if you don't believe in that....they just come to you because you want them.  Do what you think you have to do when the time comes, that will vary depending on the person, the places, or the state you live in.  We were all warned already the price for freedom is blood.  Just a matter of time, and our founding fathers knew it, and told us plenty of times.

He has been voting with them anyhow, so we didnt loose anything, he thinks it will lock him in for re-election and that is all that matters to him.   Jim

Jhm, you're exactly right.  Anyone who was depending on Specticle to maintain our gun rights was kidding themselves.

Thank God I don't have to vote for Specter now.  I only voted for him because of what he was running against.  Now, no guilt!  BYE BYE Arlen.  Have a nice retirement (on us of course)
