I bagged my first turkey yesterday, first hunt with two days left in the season. What a fun hunt I might be hooked. My turkey had a 7 1/2 beard and 7/8 spurs. Now that he is in my refrigerator cleaned and plucked should it be cooked with the skin on or should I skin this turkey. Thanks for the help

with out the skin. you should have just skinned him and left the feathers on, its faster and no near as messy. Once you start to skin it, why not cut it up into bite size pieces and store in quart freezer bags. put enough in there to feed your family (measure by handfuls) for one meal, that way you wont have to thaw out a whole breast at once.  if you plan on eating the drumsticks, you will need a pressure cooker or you will need to boil it for a while. there is more bones than meat so I don't eat the drumsticks.  congrats on your first hunt. hope your bird tastes great.
