When I was in college I used to haul waste milk and waste ice-cream at night and deliver to a "game farm" in Bridgeport, down in Madison County. They had well over 100 russian boars and used to have a pay-to-hunt operation. I think they leased almost 1000 acres. I know a few, or quite a few of the pigs escaped, and many were not captured. I was stopped several times while driving the milk truck by some of the local folks to tell me to let the owner know that his boars were tearing up their crops and to come and try to capture them. I always wonder if these are some of the boars that made their way south across the county line and have been breeding. I am not sure I would like to met up with one while bow hunting, anyway. They were pretty aggressive and could be down right nasty, at least when they were fighting for a spot at that milk/ice cream trough!
