Renegade 50 cal & Lehigh's
« on: May 04, 2009, 05:28:45 PM »
I had three .452/250 grain Lehigh's left and I was headed to the farm to shoot some PRB's and since we wondering what the 250 might do from a 1/48 - i decided to give it a shot.  Not a very good test cause I only had the three - that order from Lehigh better get here soon....

Decided to shoot them from the PRB gun @ 50 yards as I had no idea where they might end up.  I do wish I had a few more to put into the paper.

#1 is strictly my fault... set trigger blues - dang those thing are light when you set them.  The next two fell home really well - a bit high but when you are shooting a PRB gun guess you get what you get.

Anyway here is the target...  I believe they will shoot just fine in a 1/48

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - they are a blast....

I wish you had some more bullets to shoot.... Now we're all wondering:   "Are shots 2/3 more indicative of the accuracy of these bullets in the Renegade ?" ;D  Stay tuned  !!!!

See that is what I do not know either... I am really pretty confident the 250's will shoot from a 1/48, but 2 & 3 could have been just blind luck.

I have an order from Lehigh that is suppose to be here today - then I hope to get a chance to check it out again.... I know I will at some point, but time remains the real problem for May and June.

Yeah, it's #1 that counts - and that #1 is a whole two and one-eight inches from #2 & 3.  But it still might hit that elk.   :D :D :D

Semi

I know ifn you measure - it doesn't measure that bad but when you look at it on your white targets it looks like you could drive a truck between the impact points.

Lehigh should have a package to me today - I then hope at some point to get out and shoot again - I really want to make sure that 2 & 3 were not just luck.

Right now the weather is terrible and not predicted to get much better - you would think we lived in the rain belt or something.... rain rain rain and when it stops - it just starts raining again... But the temperature is warm enough the grass just keeps growing - I should have never fertilized...
