Semi to duplicate glock 19
« on: May 11, 2009, 05:49:35 AM »
My wife's purse gun is a 19. I would like to buy a 22 to get more practice in for her. I am aware of the 22 conversions. And am open to that if your results have been favorable.  With the pistol I am looking for the same feel and weight. I am even considering one of the high dollar airsoft gas guns. The 9mm rounds are just getting a little to high when you can find them to practice with all the time. She has done well with glocks so I would like to stay with them. I could get rid of the 19 and go with a baby glock if there is a similar 22 in that size.
Thanks

While not a Glock, the little Walther's .22 would be a good size and shape to work for you.  Try one.  44 Man

The conversion gives you the same weight, feel, balance, trigger, sight picture, etc. Other .22 semis may be close, but will likely have different controls, sight picture, trigger, weight and balance. If you keep the target around 10m out, it will hit to roughly the same POI. And it will cost less than a quality .22 semi, about the same as a high-end airsoft (depending). And when she reaches into her purse to grab her 19 because she has to, everything will feel natural. Nothing beats training like you fight.

Get on the waiting list for the "Advantage Arms" .22 conversion for your 19. I have one on order for my 17/22. Might even get it this year-------------- :o
