This is the first year I can remember that I didn't get something fishing related!    Not even a fishing tree ornament!  I've already started trying to be better so Santa won't forget me again next year!!

My grandson did get me a new pair of spurs though,    and I was thinking if I wore them while walking back and forth in the boat, maybe the fish would all get curious and come to see what that noise was!

I got some ultralight gear this year.  The grandparents gave me a new Quantum ultralight rod, a matching Shimano reel with extra spools, a couple of packs of Stren 2lb, and 4lb test, a chest tacklepack with pencil floats and ultralight spinners, teeny craws, and beetle spins. I can't wait until warmer weather to get out and walk the creeks and get the canoe out and do some float fishing.

Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time....ES
