A recent study conducted by Harvard University found that the
average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study by the American Medical Association found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. This means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud to be an American.

LONGTOM, I thought that I was bettering those stats with 22gal coffee a year getting me 51mpg but it is not so as the alcohol makes you walk the same distance via staggering

Sounds logical to me!

Very very seldom ever drink alcohol but I think I could keep the whole US MILITARY awake with the amount of coffee I have consumed in my life so far!

I am guilty of being a "guzzler". Very poor mileage.

But I thought it was OK because Budweiser is a "bio-fuel" made from renewable resources and does not increase our dependence on foreign oil. Plus, I walk to the tavern.

OPEC can shove it - that's my motto.

Shootall - I never thought of that.

In trying to answer your question, I found www.beeripedia.com. Apparently there are foreign hops being used.

But since they don't come from OPEC countries, I am going to continue doing what I am doing. (Shhhhh.... please don't tell any liberals on me.

I would imagine this is a case of median instead of mode. I doubt seriously that the people on the high end of the drinking spectrum contribute much to the walking spectrum and vice versa.

The heaviest drinkers I know don't do much walking at all.

That is absolutely correct, i stopped all alcohol consumption about 11 yrs
ago and never walked more than i i had to up until then. even tried to park in
front door of liquor store
