Good morning Montanan, MT_Sourdough, dpe, Southpaw, Forster, Atlaw, pab1, newstart2k, Skunk, kitchawan kid, lurker, CJ, Bilmac, thxmrgarand, Syncerus, Mcwoodduck, Brennemanj83, Old Shooter,TY22, Canon6, burntmuch, Grimjim, CJ, Bilmac, rparsons934 wis_sharpshooter and BBF.

It's 34 degrees clouds moving in and it looks it might rain.  Well darn.  I'll have to find some inside projects.

Got the Cannon carriage painted yesterday.  It's looking pretty good.  I was going to paint the platform today, but the weather may put that on hold.

I was going to cast some bullets yesterday, but couldn't find alll my hoses to hook my gas cylinders up to my stove.  I will correct that deficiency today.

Need to finish leveling the lathe and get it bolted down.  I have some material coming for a project so I need to get this done.

If the plague is gone and planting is done up at the Southpaw Estates, I need to run up there this week.

Think I'll make a pot of chili  today.

Good Evenning y'all,
Its been a real mixed bag as far weather is concearned around here.  Yesterday, the gang loaded up and went to Lolo Hot Springs for Mothers Day.  The kids and their mom went into the pool, but I went for a hike.  Jumped a few big mulies.  I dont like jumping them, because it is my preference to watch them without disturbing them.  I was more in an exploring mode and wasnt watching closely enough.  One of them jumped up right under my nose. I almost stepped on it and that is how I knew that it was big.
Then we went up Pettee Creek for a barbeque.  I checked all over my person last night, but this morning I pulled another tick off of me after waking up.  I didnt see any elk yesterday.
Today, I went up Miller Creek and found only one elk (early afternoon), but she was quite large and looking like she is ready to drop a calf or two.  Ive seen some deer working on some nice antlers already.  Its getting about time to start taking the bike further back into my hunting areas.  Snowline has receded about a couple hundred feet over the last 4 days. It is close to 6000 feet now.  That is about 2000 to 2500 feet above the valley bottoms around Missoula.
I hope you all have a great day tomorrow ;D
Gotta git'me a bigger ice box
