Holy smokes is it 10 PM already and I am only now checking in.

Got up this morning to clear blue skies, I had already decided I wasn't going to Southpaw's since his wife wasn't not going to be home and the wife wouldn't want to go along for the ride. I saw how nice it was and suggected to the wife that we go chase gophers. No she saws she has a physical therapy appoint.  "Okay, when you get back we'll go".  No she says she has an appointment at the beauty shop this afternoon she says....grrrrr.

So Igrabbed up the electric chain saw and cut down the over grown juniper trees in the yard.  The where at least 15 feet tall and were rubbing up agains the siding and gutters on the house. Took about 3 hours to get them wacked down and cut in chunks.  Still have a bunch of branches to haul away.

One the neighbor stop at and grumped at me.  She said the trees were so lovely why did I cut them.  She was a bit more understanding when I pointed out the damage they was doing.

Southpaw showed up to rescue me from domestic duties.  Brought me a red dot scope to trade for an old broken down Engine hoist. We looked over some old cannon plans so Ernie can get some ideas for making a base for his bowling ball .  also loaded him up with a piece of steel to make targets for the Victorian Rifleman shoot and the cannon shoot.

I had a busy day...and when the wife gat back from the beauty shop, I forgot to say how nice her hair looked...You would think after 43 years I would no forget something that basic.  Oh well, she didn't act very upset when she called me on it.

Just another day in Montana.

Its late and my girlfriend is harshing on me to be quick.
Today, three of us put in for our antelope drawing.  My first time ever going for an antelope.  My fingers are crossed.   Later, my girfriend and I took a ride up along the Blackfoot.  I saw Bighorn, elk, Mulies. whitetails, Bald Eagles, marmots, and lots of other critters.  It was a real pleasant drive and the first time my girlfriend has ever seen a rock chuck.
I also purchased my new fishing license today.   ;D  Fishing season starts this weekend.
The snow line is in fast retreat now.
The woman at the Dept of Fish, Wildlife and Parks who I dealt with said, whitetails numbers took a big drop this winter, but she couldnt give any details about what is happenning with them.
You all have a good day tommorow
Gotta git'me a bigger ice box
