Rossi Model 720
« on: March 17, 2009, 05:37:25 PM »
Looking for opinions on the Rossi Model 720 in 44 special. Is it made off the S&W 696 design?  Looking for a 44 special but the S&W 696 is a bit pricey and the Charter Arms seems a little on the light side.

I know, older post. I saw a Rossi 357 mag with a 4" barrel at the used shop today. I don't know much about Rossi but the price seemed reasonable. I don't need it but is Rossi any good? I may just look but where are they made??

Looked a little, I'll just skip the idea of a Rossi.

I tried out one of the Rossi .44's just briefly. It is a smaller and lighter gun than the S&W, closer to the Charter Bulldog. It shot fine and I had no complaints with it, it just wasn't my thing. I'm sorry they discontinued it. I'm no great fan of the .44 special but for those who are it offered a good alternative to the Charter Arms.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.
