Last fall I gave my Python to my Dad. I had a .38 to fall back on, but I felt naked without a .357 DA revolver in the house, so a couple of weeks ago I bought a 4" GP100. Took it to the range for the first time today.
Spent a few rounds adjusting the sights and then began punching holes in targets seeking the warm fuzzy feeling.
Had every round inside a 3" orange bull out to 20yds shooting SA.
Sweet. Decided to try some DA point shooting, simulating a home-defense point n' click scenario. Had every round inside a 5" bull out to 10yds without using the sights or "aiming" per se. Just hauled it up and pulled the trigger. It was like pointing my finger.
Man, is this a gun. I don't think I'm going to regret the purchase.
