My pro hunter frame with MGM barrel in 6mm AI will open once and awhile under recoil. What is causing this.

Barrel is not locking up properly. Sometimes this is caused by not shutting the action with quite enough "snap". No, you should not have to slam it shut, but if you just ease it shut the locking bolt may not go all the way home. If this isn't the problem then you may need to polish the surface of the bolt slightly(note I said polish...not grind). You can check for bolt engagement by coloring the bolt surface with a magic marker then engage the action, remove and see exactly how far the bolt engaged.

I have seen brass that is to long cause this problem. Try bumping the shoulder back just a little if you are reloading for it
