online gun auctions are a terrible  thing

now  i hear  matt may be adding  it  to  GBO

is  he  crazy  or  what

i  just discovered  them a couple of weeks  ago

[won't mention any compition  matt may have out there]

i  now  have  7 more guns  that  i do  not need

glad  i have  my  own  ffl  to save money [or  buy more guns]

stay  away  from  these  auctions

do not  go there  ''just to look at the pictures''

that is how  they got me  hooked

they  do have some  nice pictures.....won't  hurt  just to look >:(

Hopefully the prices will be more reasonable here than most others.

I don't see that happening.  If someone wants a certain gun bad enough there is nothing to stop him from bidding more than the reasonable value for the gun.  I was at an auction recently that had a lot of guns.  Some were a great buy (I picked up one of those, and it was actually one of the ones that I had on my want list) and others went for more than they were worth.  If I was selling at auction, I want as much as I can get, and you probably do too!  After all, in an auction it is the bidders who determine what the value of an item is.

I guess the only way around that is to force the seller to put a "buy now" price on the gun as well as a minimum price when it is posted and forcing the seller to accept the first person who choses that option, even if someone bids higher.  If the "buy now" price is too high, the bidders who really want it will know what the limit is for that gun.

The few guns I've looked at online, the shipping plus transfer fee's, usually put the price up to what I could find one locally for. And no matter what they say,99%, like brand new condition, I still like to have it in hand to check it out before I buy it. gypsyman

I also like to hold it and look down the barrel.
Funny thing about Auctions i go to lots of them in my bus. and online
no matter how many schills are their not one time has anyone held a gun on me
and made me pay more than i wanted to. Auctions are a lot about
ego.

I have bought several muzzleloaders from online gun auctions, and so far have found them to be as advertised, and the price was fair, but I had to do a lot of shopping around to find the good buy ;D

I don't buy modern guns online, because I have purchased the last registered gun I will own. From now on, it will be a face to face buy with a check on the serial number with my local police to make sure it's not stolen. Don't have to pay that shipping cost either!

I can never figure out why folks think they would want to hide a gun from the authorities.  Are you currently hidding some full autos?  If not, why would you start doing it in the future?  It's the same thing.

Why are so many in the shooting world so against capitalism?

Guns and ammo have again become a hot commodities market like during the Klinton days.  Yes, prices have gone out of control but what do you want?  Goobermint price controls or rationing?

Lets be real here.  The demand has outstripped supply as a result of "Change" as defined by His Self-Appointed Highness Obamanation.  People are concerned about this clown and are working on being prepared.  Is that really so bad?  Its self-responsibility!

I don't like the price jumps or not being able to find 380 ammo but that is todays market.  Unlike GW, I will NOT attack the system to "save it."

I for one am not hiding anything from anyone. I have several guns that are registered!

As a law abiding citizen of the USA, I don't need to tell the Gunmit every time I want to buy a gun or anything else I might want to purchase. I don't like paying an additional price for a background check, and a fee for delivery to a gun dealer.

If I buy new, then I don't have a choice, but I prefer to buy a good used gun from another gun owner face to face.
I do however like to run the serial numbers encase it could be stolen.

To each his own! If you want to do it................Then go for it!
