Here's another example of how bad the situation is with Obama vis a vis the news media. I was just reading an article on Obama's confidence in GM and there was this quote:
"Obama was not asked about a potential GM bankruptcy during the C-SPAN interview and did not raise the issue himself."
Now, isn't the question of whether GM goes into bankruptcy central to the whole issue of what is important about GM today? Why weren't there any questions asked about bankruptcy during the interview? I venture to say that nobody gives a darn about anything related to GM today except whether they will go into bankruptcy and how they will emerge.
All this seems to signal is a president who continues to go unchallenged on even the most elementary topics. That, and maybe that there's a lot more money available for GM than the 20 billion they've already taken from us. (Jesus Christ, I could have started a really good car company for a lot less than 20 billion.)
