Just got back from the range to test some loads for the 357 Maximum using Winchester 296 powder and Hornady 180 grain XTP’s. The load that looks very good is 21.5 grains and with a string of 3 shots, they are practically touching each other. I know the rifle can do better with this load but the trigger pull on it is pretty heavy and rough. I have read the FAQ articles on how to do a trigger job and I’m fully capable of doing it myself but I really don’t have the time to do it I’m in the middle of a home building addition/renovation project. I was wondering if there are any gunsmiths out there that can do it for me. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
