Been searching my mind for a handy term ...

  ..A handy term to describe the politicians who now are in control in Washington..they and their allies..

  Best thing I could come up with is.... " NEO-FACISTS " ! If it sounds fitting, let's start using it..never can tell how far it will go !

There is no need for a new age term the old one works just fine for the folks in DC at this time. Traitor and another that seems to fit well is terrorist.
