.22lr prices

What are you paying for bulk packs or .22lr?

My local Waly-World had some Winchester HVs for $13.99 a brick (500 rounds).   I was at Bass Pro a while back and they wanted $19.99 for a brick or Remington HVs.

i think wal mart here is getting about 14.99 per 500, that is if they had any for the last month or two.

In the past year, @ WM the Federal Bulk Pack (550rds) has gone from plentiful and $9.97, to rare and $14.97. They had six of them day before yesterday. Naturally I had to scoop them up.

I had been searching the Walmarts here in the Savannah and Atlanta areas for few months w/o success until lucky timing few weeks ago in Hinesville store they had about 9 bricks of federal bulk pack.  After few minutes contemplating buying them all up, I decided to take 4 and leave the rest for another brother shooter.  Incidentally, they were priced at $14.97 or something like that.

I was in our local Walmart a few days ago and they almost 40 boxes in the case.  I went in last night and they were down to less than 6!!! :o  The hoarders hit hard, so I bought two plus a box of 15rds of 00Buckshot.  Set me back almost $40 with tax!!  Needless to say, it wasn't all that long ago I could have doubled the ammo I had for that money...So I need to continue buying even at $14+ a box!!  :o

Those $1.47 per box Federals are generally what I'm seeing most often.  I did find a brick of Remingtons the other day that I bought - can't remember the price.  Only had the 1 in stock when I bought it though.

I am fortunate in being able to load my own centerfire ammo for half or less the Wally WOrld price - but they have us by the short ones on rimfire!  I still have a few 550 packs squirreled away, and have not found any locally in months.  My closest Wally had the Remington Goldens in a 330 (I think) pack for $13 bucks two months ago, and the Sportsman's Warehouse had CCI Blaser in the 500 round brick for $19.95!  But as of now, it's all gone......
I am beginning to think Unicorns are taking all our 550 packs.....   :'(
