hi guys i did a search on this forum and couldn't find anythingon aitor knives. made in spain used by armies around the world. i own a jungle king 1 survival knife and can testify to its quality and workmanship. can be seen by googling aitor knives. i bought mine from a collector on ebay because aitor was sold to another company a couple years back, and i wanted an older one new in box. they are not cheap but they are worth it. can't tell you about the new company or it's knives, but i would bet they are still worth having. BEWARE of knockoffs, they are out there. mine is awsome!!!  searlock

I wasn't aware that Aitor knives are used by armies around the world; at least not as a prime combat knife.  With the exception on the one piece Chris Reeves survival knives, many folks don't trust two piece knives because the join between the blade and the handle is considered a weak point...how weak it is is relative to how you use the knife.  Be careful with the slingshot if you use it; it has a nasty reputation for sending the ball back into your face unless you hold the bands exactly right. Also, from what I've read but have no personal experience with, don't go for razor sharp on the JK1, the steel isn't all that good. You'll waste time and steel trying to do that.  The JK2 and 3 have better blades.
