However, it's part and parcel of why I got interested in the Handi... one of the last things an out-of-control government would want to confiscate.  That, and noticing that the folks at the range with the biggest smiles are shooting their single-shot rifles.   ;D

It wasn't a post Obama thing. You can still own other guns but just one Handi.

OK than I change my vote from the 12ga /44 combo pack, I figured the worse case thing and it would be my only hunting gun,
to the handi I own.
I have an SS1 ultra varmint in 22Mag.
Here is my reason.  Great rifle.  fun gun to shoot.  Ammo is cheap.  and as small game is everywhere I get to use the Rimfire a lot in the field.  Mine wears a Weaver 6X38 scope.
