Baikal shotgun ejectors
« on: September 17, 2003, 01:46:59 PM »
I just bought a Baikal double and found out it had an ejector. How do I disable this? I checked Marauder's site and it didn't mention ejectors.

Just got a Bounty Hunter II for my wife w/o hammers and it has no ejectors. So Hmmm I got no idea, I've only handled 3 so far one with and 2 w/o hammers and none had  em.  What model is that one of yours?  Charlie Bull

It is a model IZH-43E. I guess the "E" means ejector.

Dat must be it, cuz this one is just a IZH43. I'm thinkin yer gonna have to do some more lookin ta find someone that knows how to disconnect them. But then again if ya look at the new Shoot Mag. it appears the guy on the cover has ejectors er else a real good jerk to the rear cuz the empty is sure flyin.  Good Luck  Charlie Bull

Montana, I posted on another wire and found out all I had to do was remove a couple of pieces in the forearm tha retarded the movement of the ejector till the action was open. As the action opens, the little "flags"in the forearm cam over a raised part on the ejector and the springs slam it forward, ejecting the hulls. Without the flags, as this gent called them, the spings push the ejector out as the action is opened, just like an extractor. I've seen folks with polished chambers on their doubles give a practiced jerk reward and send the hulls out so fast that you would think it had ejectors!
