Tell me about your crooked barreled 58.  I got a new Uberti Navy 36 and the barrel was .03 off center.  I sent it back, got a new one that's fine.  Got a Stainless Piettta 44 that has the rear machining a bit off center, so the cylinder pin is real tight when it enters the breech hole.  Had to file it a bit with swiss files to free it up.  I found the mainspring so heavy as to almost be uncockable.  It's a candidate for my Ruger  Mainspring conversion.

The front sight fell off my SS Pietta Remington.  It doesn't even look like it was soldered.  Gonna buy a SS dovetail Uberti sight and install that.  That won't fall off.  It's a Navy Arms, but by the serial number, it's an older one.  Serial dates it to between 1996 ans 1998, probably.  Shot my Uberti Rem Navy with a Kirst converter Sunday in a CAS match, 38 Special with hollowbase wadcutters.  Works fine.  Yes the nippple threads can be riugh, they use tools untill they are WORN out.
