ILION Handi in 30-30 Win.
« on: June 08, 2009, 08:36:24 AM »
Went looking for a Handi in 30-30 Win. , have wanted one for a long time and today found one with Serial# CBA XXXXXX , first ILION made Handi I've gotten a look at.
Seems on par with the my older guns, only difference I see is a solid recoil pad and the barrel tapers more
to the muzzle .Looking forward to trying it out at the range .TF

Congrats, is it marked made in Ilion too? There have been lots with CBA and CAC prefixes, but I don't believe anyone has reported an actual Ilion marked frame yet, but I may have just forgot too!!  ::) :-[ ;D

Congrats on the new gun. Let us know how it shoots. I was thinking of one after my .45-70 comes in.

I saw one the other day looked like the finish was a little better the bbl was not quite as ruff as some but still could of been a little smoother. Kurt

My New 223 Camo stocked, No named scoped rifle says Ilion and it shoots perfectly. ;D
Hey Tim, Does the release lever not being loose make the extracter push the cart. up and scrape the brass? It seems to be getting better or I am learning to load it differently. Does that work itself in after shooting a while? Thanks Mike

The release button position has nothing to do with the extractor, I'd guess the extractor parts are just breaking in.

Gander mountain had a set of tamers in 410 and in 20 ga and both where marked ILION on the receiver. Which hopefully is a positive signs since TIM said that they weren't going to be available again till 07/09
