I know we have diamond mines and coal mines, anyone hear of gold here?

the gpaa dosen`t have any claims in AR,however there is gold and silver in the Ouachita mountains.also found s.e.and s.w. of the hot springs area.
there is a gold mine (reportedly)on what was reguarded as the old spanish diggings.also you might email bill oliver of the fayetteville ark gpaa chapter.

Yes there is gold in dem there hills.  Problem with Ar. like most other states if you don't know someone or are not part of a group that has a claim its awful hard to gain access to most panning locations.  They are mostly located on private land and the owned will "Shoot Tresspassers"
