Another beautiful day in the Big Sky Country....started the morning helping Southpaw cut out some targets for the two shooting matches I will be putting on this summer.

This afternoon the Granddaughter insisted we go shoot some gophers...so we did.
We hunted for about and hour and a half and shot less than 50 rounds then we dropped down onto a little bench. We sat in one spot on that bench for a little over two hours and shot just over 300 rounds without moving. The heavy bull barrels of the 17 Hornady Mach 2's got too hot to touch. What a shoot...about a half an hour ago the Granddauighter came to me and reminded me that I was suppose to find her for a rock chuck today...Might as well start her training early...so I just said "Yes Dear!"
