Biggest game taken with.454 Casull Encore pistol and favorite loads

Having acquired a 12" .454 Casull Encore barrel, thought I would see how many .454 Casull Encore pistol shooters are onboard. Also biggest game you have taken with the .454 Casull and favorite loads!

I haven't too long traded for one, but have only shot some Dirty Bird targets with it with heavy .45 Colt loads. I have a few .454 loads brewed up w/cast bullets, but haven't had the oppourtunity to shoot any yet.

I got new brass, dies and a mold for my birthday,too......

I tried Winchester 260gr  Partition Gold when I bought the 15 inch encore barrel didn't like that load,I purchased some Magtech 260 gr jacketed flat point 454 casull ammo it's worse than the partition gold,tried it in my encore 20 inch bullberry rifle barrel has a bit more recoil than the hornaday sw460mag ammo.it's more fun shooting 45colt with h110 or w296.

When you refer to shooting .45 Colt loads  are you shooting these in your Casull barrels loaded in .45 Colt brass or .454 Casull brass downloaded to .45 Colt level?
I two have some of the Winchester .454 Casull 260 Gr Partition Gold that I have not tried in my 12" barrel as of yet. I am prefering to develope a good cast bullet load for this barrel!

I load 45colt brass with cast performance  bullets ,h110 or w296 and shoot it in my 15" encore pistol barrel.

The biggest game I have taken with a .454 is a groundhog.I used a Hornady 240 grn. XTP HP.It turned the critter inside out.Looked like a bloody furry dishrag.

I have a factory T/C Encore 12" 454 Casull barrel that was cut down from 15" and had a T'SOB 6 screw base and 3 rings installed by SSK Industries.

I use a T/C 2.5-7x28mm illuminated reticle pistol scope.

I strictly hand load using only 454 Casull brass and hard cast lead bullets.

I use 310gr plain base and 360gr gas checked, both with H110 powder and CCI 450 primers.

This pistol is very easy to shoot and super accurate.
