Alternative front sights for a NEF 12 ga shotgun?

Are there any inexpensive front sight alternatives to the bead sight? What can I install myself?

several companys make ramps set up for large diameter barrels, install with a screw and some jb weld...add an appropriate front sight....anybody using a set up like that with a peep sight on their shotgun?

Here is a quick and easy clamp on sight.  I have one on a 12ga and it hasn't moved while shooting a few boxes of slugs.  Quick and easy to see if you just need the front sight.

Are there any screw in larger bead sights that someone could recommend?

I've heard of folks soldering a b-b on a spot-drilled (not through!) area.
And I thought a real shiny ball bearing of any good size might work too.
Low weight b-b maybe you could use JB weld.

I used one of those cheap tru glos on mine.  just unscrew the bead and put a little loc tit on the new one and it is done!

You can buy a drill and tap kit from Brownells for less than $20.

Just make sure you get the 6x48 thread, not the smaller one.
