Is there any convenient way....
« on: June 12, 2009, 03:49:31 AM »
  Is there any convenient way to switch thw rear sight on a 20ga tracker slug barrel; to a peep sight ? I would like to do it with a minimum of fuss.

 Thanks Guys;
 I guess I didn't make mysel very clear. I already have the front ramp & dovetail sights on my Tracker barrel but I just want to m,ake them more visible for old eyes. If I could convert the dovetail to peep or glow it may help.
   I guess I could take the dovetail out and replace with same thickness sheet stock with drilled hole. Glow sights would be nice also..

Paint em, the secret is to use a white under coat when using florescent paints, fishing lure paints work excellent, I've painted many sights, but as Kurt mentioned, they make gun sight paint too.  ;)

Tim informed me of that stuff a while back and I love it on the sight but as said make sure you use the primer first after I did the sights I repainted some of my glow in the dark Salmon spoons and they also work much better as they hold a glow charge much longer than the factory paints do. Kurt
