Anyone shoot shorter cases in their .45LC?

I kinda knew about .45 Schofield, which seems to work with some .45LC dies. Just read about the .45 Cowboy Special, which is a .45LC case trimmed to .45ACP length and using .45ACP dies. Sounds great for plinking loads.

I shoot 45 Specials in my SAs (Trimmed to 1.150), but have not tried them in the Handi Rifle because C.O.A.L. has not been a factor yet. The 45 Colt loaded to 14K ARE plinking Loads.

That was my exact thought too when I read this, Ruger/TC +P loads are the real loads!!!

I shoot 45LC's in my 454 Cassull.
(Its rechambered 45 COLT barrel)
If you asking if its safe, you should be just fine. Clean the chamber good after. Sometimes that big jump from the case mouth to the rifling effects accuracy. Go shoot'em and post up the results.

I enjoy long range shooting and big guns.

You can achieve the same thing with the 45 Colt case and no dirty chamber.
