President for life..?
« on: June 17, 2009, 03:15:46 AM »
 Democrat Jose Serrano of NY has introduced a bill to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution, which prohibits the "President-for-life" situation such as in many of trhe new Africam "republics", Cuba, Syria, North Korea and various banana republics.
   Now, if the Democrats can get that passed plus get ACORN to do the census each time..perhaps WE can share the joys of Syria, North Korea, and the president-for-life African states.

I believe your right GB, and there will be Republicans that will vote for this if it passes. It is a two edged sword we are dealing with. Not just Democrats.

Venizualia (Hay, I know it's misspelled, but you know Hugo Chavez country) just moved backwards and passed a law removing term limits, like this a few months ago.

We are no longer a first world nation, how rapidly we are moving to third world status.  Both economically and politically
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

There is no way no how Americans will ever put any president in power for his life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is wrong on to many levels. Look at Castro. Dale

Dale;
  I never figured the "American people" would ever let some Socialist/Marxist president..nationalize the banks, take over the auto companies (and giove a lion's share to the unions..free)..appoint 16 seperate "Czars" to control virtually every facet of our lives, and a thousand other acts that always were considered reprehensible by Americans.

    ....But they have...

America tried to give this to Washington, but he was man enough to turn it down.  Of course the Republicans will go for it, they all work for the same people anyway.  They just have to find someone that is charismatic enough that the sheep will baa to his tune and corrupt enough to agree to it.  Hmmm.....
