Evening all.  She's a warm one today, saw 91 to 93 degrees on the way home from work.  Sounds like gonna stay warm for a while now, even warmer Thursday.  Hope everyone is doing well.  Double D, ya getting plans made for yer granddaughters next visit?  It's a shame the schools have changed so much from when I went.  Used to take the shotgun to school and put it in the locker for hunting after school, would even see the principle headed out when the bell rang.  Real sorry my kids will never get to enjoy the times I did growing up on our farm, hunt or fish when ever the work was done. :'(  Hope it doesn't continue to change for the worse, SOAPBOX, EVERYONE needs to join NRA to help with the fight.  I don't agree with all they say, but do most of it.  It's a very strong organization that needs more members.  OK, I'm done now.  Gonna get ready for some fishing next week.  Night all.  DP

No kidding. When I was in high school, we could actually take our rifles or shotguns to metal shop class and get credit for cleaning them. The instructor thought very highly of a young man who knew how to disassemble a weapon, clean it, and then reassemble it. He was a retired marine drill instructor that had taken up teaching. Now a days, if a kid took his rifle or shotgun to school, they'd call out the SWAT team on him.
