Does any one have any information on a Arminius HW7S .22LR 8 shot revolver. It says made in Germany and has a few other small stamped symbols on the frame. The number on it is 309622. This is an older gun my Dad has had for some time. Thanks. Ron

If it's anything like a .38 a friend of mine had about 25 years ago, I wouldn't commit suicide with it, as I'm afraid I'ld miss with it. gypsyman

An excerpt from another site -
Arminius revolvers are "wellknown all around the world with excellent accuracy and durability being their outstanding features," according to Hermann's Guns, an Australian Web site for gun afficionados.

Take it out and shoot a few hundred rounds of various types of ammo through it. It might be really good.

I had one years ago, it wasn't a bad little pistol.  It had fixed sights and was fairly accurate but far from a quality piece.

The State of Rhode Island considers them "junk guns" along with the likes of bryco, jennings, hi-point, etc
http://www.rilin.state.ri.us/BillText/BillText01/SenateText01/S0740.htm
it is under the revolver section...

The city of L.A. and 40 other areas of California also consider them "junk guns/ saturday night specials" and prohibit or restrict there sale...

I had the 38 spl and a friend of mine had a 4 inch .22 he carried in his tackle box.  They shot o.k., but I would not go out and specifically buy one.  They are guns that if they up and "walked away" I wouldn't cry about it.
