Ruger SxS

Has anyone gotten the new SxS? I've been drooling over it, but the price tag is intimidating. I would appreciate any comments from someone who owns one. Thanks.

Ruger SXS a myth?

No replys. Maybe the SXS is just a myth. My gun dealer had 18 on order at one time and hasn't seen one yet. His wholesaler sez" June 2003". His source of information, Ruger.  I cancelled my order a year ago and bought an Italian smoke pole.  I would like to buy American but, this is not the first time I've been betrayed by an American company. Prices on the competition's products is increaseing while We wait on Ruger. The wife sez " You don't need another shotgun any how".  Hope to see one while I can still shoot. Ain't gettin' any younger. Good luck!

Grumpy,
I couldn't agree more! I had a local gun shop order me one right after I made this post. He still has no information on when one might be available. Ruger has no buisness advertising new products that they can't deliver. I'm going down to Bass Pro next weekend and get a Beretta Whitewing.

Ruger is notorious for announcing 2-3 years before they have any plans to have them on the shelves. I think they do it to see if there is enough interest to actually develop it.

Not only does Ruger "introduce" guns years before they are available on occassion, sometimes they catalog guns that you will never get that ARE in production.  I had a .32 Mag Bisley on order for 1.5 years and never recieved it, or the standard SSM that was to go with it, both in the catalog the entire time they where on order.  I know it wasn't the demand that kept me from getting one.
