New Taurus Thunderbolt

Yetserday I went out and dropped $500.00 on a Tbolt. I have wanted one since they first showed up at the shotshow.  I was not at all dissapointed, dispite what the naysayers have put out. The fit and finish are just fine, I don't expect a $1500.00 execution on a $500.00 rifle. As it is, there is nothing that needs to be appologized for. The action is smooth, trigger is good at around 4 lb and crisp. The accuracy is what I would expect. It launched my pistol loads into a 3.25 group dead center at 50 yards with 4 of the 6 in one inch. My loads where 255 gr cast range lead bullets sized to .454 lubed with LLAlox over 8 gr of Unique. Very little recoil and over all a real fun time. I experienced no functioning trouble. The case ejected just fine without having to slam the action open ( I have read that the action must be operated "sharply" to ensure ejection), no problems of any sort. I think it was well worth the $500.00.
People are like slinkies, they serve no purpose yet they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
