Are Nikko Sterling scopes any good?
« on: June 15, 2009, 11:32:47 AM »
I'm looking at buying a new scope for my 35 Whelen and how well made the Niko Sterling scopes are. They seem like a lot of scope for the money.

I've had one that came on a rifle I purchased new. It lasted a few outings and went belly up.
Hunting and fishing are not matters of life or death. They are much more important than that.

They advertise on one of the outdoor channels.  Other than that, I have never seen or heard of them.  I'm usually cautious of any optic product that claims to provide a lot of quality for the money.  That's not normally the case.  Whenever a scope's price and quality seem to good to be true, it usually is.

Just curious, what is the price of the Nikko Sterling?  I may need to eat my words.  Maybe they are a great value.

Brithunter thought highly of them.  His were made in Japan.
