Mounts are back....from Dec. hunt at WHill, VT
« on: August 24, 2009, 03:32:11 AM »
Hi All,

Just got the mounts back from our Dec. 2008 hunt at Wild Hill in VT.  I've posted about it before on this forum.  Here's my boar and Tx Dahl sheep and Dave's euro mount of his fallow.

Very nice trophey room you have going there Doug.  Congrats.  It looks like there are a few blank spots on the wall to fill in.   Whats next on your list?

Thanks guys...I appreciate the comments.

What's next for the blank spots....I need to leave space for three potential shoulder mounted boyfriends...three daughters y'know.   ;)

Actually....I may go black bear hunting next year in Maine, and...if $$ hold up...I may do another boar for a full mount this December.  I'd like to add a bronze back ibex (Hybrid) and a japanese sika as well.  I'm going to a meeting in San Antonio in summer 2011 and I'm planning Aoudad and Javalina while I'm there.  I'm attending another meeting in Orlando in 2012 and I'm planning on axis and Asiatic Waterbuff possibly at the Brady Ranch.  We'll see.........

haha LOL  I can relate to that.  3 girls & 1 boy.   If there like my girls,  better think of building on.   Now  the truth,  there ok but some I'd plant in the ground and water thou.   Nice room and I wish I had one.  Showed your pics to the wife.  ;D   She agreed, that would be great room to have.

Very nice mounts but that boar has really got me fired up for some cool weather and hog hunting. Congrats.

Thanks again guys.  My TR is in the basement and my wife actually designed it.  It was her idea to use the T1-11 and the glass door.....and my labor.  Glad I had the space!

Now...if I can only git'r to cozy up on the bear rug............ ;)
