20 ga. slugs and buckshot for deer?
« on: November 27, 2002, 03:28:43 PM »
Winchester is now making a new 20 ga. slug with a Nosler PT bullet that is really the best choice currently available in all of the shotgun slugs from looking over the ballistics. Check it out. From a rifled slug barrel it should make that shotgun into a genuine 200 yard deer killer.

:D any .20 ga slug will put any deer down that roams this continant...if u keep it to under 100 yards.....it will do everything a 12 will do in that department with the 12 ..maybe..doing a little better on something like a moose...its plenty fer whitetail;;;;when anyone asked me what gage to get for normal hinting on these critters i always tell em to get a 20  less recoil, and i also think more accurate with a good barrell...not as many slug types, but one in the boilerroom is all it takes :-)

Nope. I'd get the Remington barrel.
