Happy Independence Day
« on: July 04, 2009, 09:58:07 AM »
I noticed not much posting here lately....I guess because we're in between seasons and not a lot to talk about.

Anyway, I hope that everyone is having a great Independence Day today. This was all given to us by our forefathers when they fought in the American Revolutionary War and we have had that freedom now for 233 years.

It would seem our illustrious law enforcement personnel are doing all they can to take away that hard won freedom this fourth.

Matt tells me they are setting up road blocks all over to include fully blocking the main four lane between Anniston and Jacksonville one of the most heavily traveled roads in the area. State, county and three local city police departments shut it down checking every vehicle moving thru. He said wreckers were doing a booming business hauling off vehicles taken from owners for minor violations.

It's just plain unConstitutional and to pick this Holiday to do it sure to me sends a bad sign of what's ahead in our state. It's gonna take another revolutionary war to set this country back on course I fear and I do believe it's not so far away either.

You're right about that Bill. From the way our government is being operated now, it also appears to me that we might have to gain control over it in the foreseeable future. The good part of that is, the Constitution has a clause in it that allows us to do so if the leaders get off course.
