Has anyone seen or shot the Charles Daly 1874 Sharps? That "little sharps" is a cutie too!!
I am assuming these are Itialian??? Who makes them??

I handled one.
It was chambered for the .22 Hornet.
I put it back in the rack, I wont go there.

Lead pot, I some how knew that would be the answer!!!! I did some searching and determined that they must be the ones manufacture in Italy by Armi-sport. Guess i will have to save up FIVE grand for an American made one!!!!!!!!!ARG!!!!!!!!!....Thanks, Ed

I haven't found anyone that has any on hand in this area so I will bow to your experience at the present. I did find one on a video and it seemed awful small!!!!!!! I don't think I would care for such a tiny gun!!!..Ed

Yes they are small.
That rifle would be a fine rifle for when you and your young Son or Daughter head to the range on a weekend for them to use.
But they are pricey for what you get.

I purchased an economy 45-70 version with 32 inch octagon barrel, no fore-end cap, no patch-box, from Davidsons for under $900 shipped.  Besides my H&R 1871 buffalo classic and Marlin 1895 cowboy, it is my 3rd lowliest costing rifle.  It was made by Armi Sport or Armi Chiappas of Italy, imported by KBI (Pennsyvania), distributed by Charles Daly.  (Perhaps at one time by Taylor's Co. also).

I am a beginner, so I figure I should start slow from the monetary investment angle.  I get into a dilemma though - how much to spend to upgrade sights on a cheaper rifle?
