question for the ladies bout pressure cookers

i think im in the market for a pressure cooker, mostly for tenderizeing wild game like rabbits,squirrel and coon. but also for beef brisket and tuff cuts of venison.maybe canning in the future.what size do i need?whats the best brand to choose?ive been looking at used ones on ebay. or should i just buy a new one?any input would be appreciated.

not a lady but my advice is go for new. I use one for canning and cooking and I would not use one that I don't trust because they can be real dangerous.

If your going to can much get a big, tall one. You want to be able to put 2 layers of quarts in it. Really saves a lot of time. A canning cooker is really too big for cooking a meal, so if you want to do both you'll need two.

sounds like i need a medium size one for cooking and a bigger one for canning. i do cook a lot in the crock pot and love it. sometimes tho i like a nice mess of rabbit or squirrel the same evening i come in with them.
