I've acquired a couple of new toys lately. Bought a NcStar Generation II 2x7x32 scope and put it on my 10 inch 357 mag Contender and horse traded a local guy out of his Taurus PT 1911 AR. I took them both to the range this afternoon and had a ball. It was shady, 84 degrees and I had the place to myself. The straight eight sights on the Taurus took a bit of getting used to but after a short time I could keep em in about a 2 inch group at 25 paces. The gun will shoot better than I can. Then I got the Contender on target at 25 paces then moved it out to 100 and fine tuned it. I didn't shoot a group but soda cans sitting on fence posts at that range were toast. I think a bit later on this year the deer and hogs are in a heap of trouble. NcStar has gotten their act together on this scope as the eye relief is about 22 inches now and it's crystal clear. I see another one in my near future going on my 10 inch 22 LR barrel.
