Walking in the woods

I was thinking about taking a walk in the woods this weekend. I usually try to get in the wood this time of the year and look at what trees needs trimming and trails to clear. Last year I didn't have enough time before hunting season to clear shooting lanes or move stands. This year I want to get a jump on it.

Going to try hunting a new area this year also. Its got 8 year old pine trees on it without much shooting distance. Everything is bunched up and very dense. Thinking about a ground blind of some sort. I may have to think on this a little more while I'm fishing.

Good idea just to walk the woods.   I used to get out more in the summer when we had chucks to hunt here in New England.

Near where I live in CT there are some nice woods roads to walk.   I saw a bear track on one of them!

I been thinking about that every weekend since March!

Me to... well, not this time of year!     In south Jawja it be just to durn hot and them 'skeeters in the bottoms be thick as... um... flys?   

Last year I didn't have enough time before hunting season to clear shooting lanes or move stands.

Happens to me every year!     Seem like all my neighborhood improvement is done during the season... 

This year I want to get a jump on it.

I say that EVERY year...   Still haven't made it this year either... 

But at least my intentions are good!
