No doubt some foriegn guns are as good or better. But when it comes to single action revolvers its hard to beat a F.A. or Ruger. Resale is better and they last forever. Some of the foriegn guns are a gamble, you may get one good one out of five. And you get a real usable warranty with a Ruger or F.A.. If money is a concern[allways is] buy used. ;)

After picking up a Marlin in 357 mag I got the SA bug again and picked up a brand New BH.  ;D  As normal it's a Ruger that takes anything I want to feed it. Though I might be prejudice as all my centerfire pistols are Rugers! ::)

I think you said you have a Model 92 clone companion gun already.  You already have a full set of DA's so unless you intend to use it hunting, a NM Vaquero in 357 would seem to be the perfect companion gun. Buy two, some leather, and go to your next nearby CAS event with the Rossi and a double barreled 12 gauge coach gun. You will have a ball.  The Ruger is built hell for stout and you can always trade up to Colt if you come into a bunch of money.  Of course the only problem with my suggestion is you won't be shooting the thing occasionally.  Instead you will be shooting it regularly.

If you just want to get something to gather dust in a safe, I guess just about any of the Italian clones would fill the bill for about $75 less than the Vaquero. I have to agree that they are pretty well made.  If you aren't going to shoot it, you might as well spend three times the price of a Vaquero and buy a Colt. You can keep it  new in the box. It would make a great investment for your kids to sell after you are gone.
