Need replacement ejector for BC Miroku O/U 12 gauge shotgun

My father has a BC Miroku o/u 12 gauge that he's been shooting for 30+ years, 3 inch chambers, 30" barrels.  This past summer and this fall he's been having problems with the bottom ejector slipping past the rim of the shell when ejecting, it's an automatic ejector.  We reload AA shell exclusively, but it's happening with steel loads too, so it must be the ejector, and it has much more play than my more modern Citori, but the same mechanism, his has quite a bit of play from side to side, mine is still tight.  How is this problem fixed, are there parts available for it, and approximately how much would it be?  Any info is very welcome.

It's really hard to determine the problem from a distance and with something this complex, nearly impossible..  Still it sounds as if somethings worn.. If the ejector itself a new one may solve the problem fairly easily.,. but if the ejector recess, then there will be more problems...  As to parts availability I'm not aware of Miroku being imported at the moment but at one time they made the 101 Winchesters.  Some of the parts houses will surely have spares if it's not a rare piece..  Even then a good smith can probably effect a repair but it can take a bunch more time(time is money).  Take the weapon to a competant smith if one's not available locally Simmons if Kansas can probably help..  While they're not bargain basement they are competant..

I would guess the problem is the ejector itself, it would make no sense to put harder steel in the ejector than in the ejector recess,which is machined into the barrels themselves by the look of it.  I'm also hearing from a distance, I'm in Iowa right now and dad is in SD, but I have a Citori to compare to, and my Citori and his Miroku have interchangeable barrels, literally, I can put my barrels in his action and his in mine and lock the actions and open them again, although I'd never fire them that way.  The ejector system on the Citori looks identical, but I'd have to put a micrometer or caliper to it to make sure, but I'm not even sure how the ejector itself is removed, and I'm hardly a competent gunsmith, I can do a few things, but I know enough to know when my abilities are maxed out and those trained in the trade would sincerely appreciate it if I wouldn't screw thing up even more.  I'm a trained musician, it's kind of like me going to play a jazz gig and find out that I'm playing with people that think they know what they're doing, but really don't, not much fun and a waste of my time.
