Good morning Montana!
« on: July 13, 2009, 04:12:39 AM »
Good morning to you all.   Lots or Thunder, lightning and rain here last night.  Had 4/10ths of an inch of rain in the can this morning.  Not a bad thing, we needed it.

4 tenths more rain than we have seen in quite a while . It is totally dry .  Lots of Deer and Antelope grazing in the crops , range lands are dried up .  Lovely weather if you are not a farmer  :D

Gophers are still about and about , the cooler weather has not drove them down yet. When it gets real hot in July  they seem to go into hibernation .

Here is a link for every thing you ever wanted to know about Richardson Ground Squirrels.

Have a great day  :)

We had a double storm go thru Sunday in Billings.  Both were really hammering the rain and lots of light show action.  Hav had enough rain to keep things in good shape here and over by the West end of Ft. Peck.  Mid July and things are still green up there.  Deer are looking great this year.  DP
