Got one!  Bisley grips.  Love it!  This is my venture into large bore and hunting handguning and I couldn't be happier! ;D

Oh, so far it's been much more accurate then I with everything I've shot through it!   :D

Have a .22 Bisley Hunter and a 45LC Hunter.  Have plenty of others of each grip style, but prefer the Bisley configuration.  Seems to be a love it or hate it thing though so best to try before you buy.

I got my 44 SBH Bisley last winter , so far I like it.  Have it scoped , the eyes don't pick up the front sight like they used to.  ;D  It is more accurate than I can shoot......And best of all , its a Ruger...tank-tough !

thank you gentlemen for your feedback. i must say it's encouraging. the problem i've found with trying before bying, is none of the local gun shops carry any revolvers of this type. and by local, i mean in three cities in two states. however i've got a friend who might be encouraged to let me shoot one of his regular blackhawks with those grips. might be close enough. i'll have to give it a try. now for the the capital for this new investment....... :)   but seriously, thanks guys and thanks for the welcome ! i look forward to further discussion and any additional advice would be equally appreciated.           p.s.    i've deffinitely got to agree with irold on this one. rugers are impressively tough. even in my limited experience.
