New Romainian TTC from Century
« on: April 20, 2009, 03:56:28 PM »
I just picked up a Romainian TTC from Century I bought the
very good condition one for $209.97 + shipping. It is in
fantastic shape! Mirror bore with excellent strong rifling.
Finish  is really good too!

I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. I will say I really
like the way this sweet pistol feels in my hand. It is a
natural pointer. I like the sights for a milsurp. It feels
somewhat slimmer and less bulky than a 1911. My CZ 52
had better watch out! There's a new 7.62X25mm Sheriff
in town! I can't wait to shoot it! I'm waiting on a new Wolff
mainspring right now.

SM Bob:  Great find.  You are going to have a ball with that pistol.  I pack my Tok on a regular basis.  Please avoid mil-surp ammo in the Tok, it is not a CZ-52 which was designed to shoot the sub-gun ammo.  Get yourself a case of S&B or PRVI ball, both of which you can carry, shoot and reload.  Also, please go to Ron Reed's site for his offerings of 7.62x25mm as he specifies which of his loadings are to be used for the Tok and which are to be used for the CZ-52.  Also, I believe there is some FNM 7.62x25mm hollow point ammo available for the Tok, which I found on the Makarov dot com website.

The Shotgun News lists tons of parts for the Tok and for the low $ I would get another barrel.  Please understand that if you chock a 9mm barrel into your Tok your loads will print high.  The 7.62 is a better round I feel - definately more powerful.

I have thought of upgrading my older Chinese Tok with a Romanian - better quality production and metals.  I also prefer the Romanian safety arrangement over the batf after-production safety the Chinese got stuck with.

Let us know how it shoots.

I picked one up from Centerfire systems too in the same condition.  You can't beat this buy right now for a Tokarev pistol in this condition.   I also happened to be in the right spot and maybe it was a full moon too when i found two chinese norinco tokarev's in 9mm luger and the other in 7.62x25 tok still in there orginal boxes still in new condition.  These tokarev's seem to be a hot buy since the CZ82's dried up.  Don't miss the boat on the russian nagant's too.
