Poured some bullets this evening

Got the mold from Victor3 early this week and have been dying to try it out.  Had to buy a bigger pot and make a bigger ladle, because these are much bigger than my 50 cal muzzleloader bullets.  I poured a few of them, but it was getting late, so I didn't get as many as I wanted.  These are 30 mm and seem to fit perfectly.  Victor3 says that I should use no more than 300 grains of powder, so I can't wait to shoot a few of them - - and at that rate, a pound of powder will last a while...

A BIG thank you to Victor3 for the mold, I'll do my best to shoot one where it can be found and post a picture of it.

Be careful, if you get too big a pot and ladle, you will start thinking that you could fill a larger mold.  Which means you would then need a larger cannon to justify the larger mold.  And then...

 Can't wait to hear how they shoot.  :)

 Be safe - This is a new gun, so please follow the recommendation regularly quoted here to start "Ridiculously Low" on the charge weight, and don't use anything finer than FG granulation.

 Some might disagree, but I recommend lubing the slug with a suitable black powder grease (Crisco works fine). I would smear the outside and fill the step around the nose diameter with it.

If you get a larger mold, it will probably be a 3 or 4 cavity mold so you can pour more projos in one sitting! Dont worry
about getting a bigger cannon, yet.

The only thing that is keeping me from a bigger mold (for a bigger cannon) is the fact that I do NOT want to make any more wooden wheels for at least 10 more years...  Truly the second set would probably be easier than the first, but I've pretty much checked that off of my list of things to do in life.
