Ruger P90 45 ACP
« on: April 03, 2009, 11:19:50 AM »
Went to Williams gunsight today to pick up my lay-away . A nice little rem model 7 in 7mm-08. Thats a whole nother story. Well I cruised the used handgun counter. They had a Like new special edition Ruger P90 in 45acp. $375. I got it for $345 This is the gun that ive been looking at to replace my Kimber 1911, Long story short I now have 2 in lay-away. I know the kimber,s a great gun, I just never liked it. Williams gunsight offered me $450 for it, So Im thinking I should be able to get $550-$600 for it. So I ll be selling the kimber & getting both guns out of lay-away this week.  Whats you,re guys opinion on the P90. Its the steel frame black & green.
I dont care what gun Im using as long as Im hunting

I had a P90 and recently traded it. It is a good solid gun and can't  remember when I ever had a jam. It is sort of clunky but if you can get over that it's a great gun.

you wont find a better gun for anywhere near the price. it'll shoot anything you put into it and is extremely accurate. a set of new sights and you'll be in the money. and dont forget the hogue wrap around grips. should last you a lifetime.

What BD19 said is true. I really like my P90, & the Houge Mono Grip makes it even better.
AMERICA........Love it or leave it!

I have a P90 for several years now and it shoots everything I put in it from hard ball down to any and every other type of 45 bullet I have loaded for it.  I was a long time fan of the 1911 and still like them but none of them I own or owned was as relabel as the P90.

Great gun! Just not so great for IWB carry. Absolute tank and can shoot the hottest 45 ACP you can load all day long! It was my first CCW piece. But when the P345 came out I traded the P90 for it and never looked back as the P345 is so much better to carry! ;D

I have owned a P 90 for many years, and have only good things to say about it.  The Hogue grips are a must as well.  I put Millette sights on mine, and consider them well worth the money.

You cannot go wrong with the P 90.

I have had a p90 for about 10 years now (45.)  I have left it stock and it shoots great. Only thing about it I don't care much for is that it really throws the empty brass, I bet the brass ends up 15 feet away at least.

I know this thread is a little old, but me being new and a big fan of the P90, I wanted to comment. I have a P90 that I carry all the time. They are a little big, but most 1911's are. I carry in a Milt Sparks VM2HS and don't have any problem. I do know it is accurate and reliable when I use it. The Hogue Grips works good on it.
Its never too late to make this a better world to live in. :D

I call my P-90 old ugly.    It is big and a bit clunky but it is accurate and reliable.   255 swc and a good dose of unique  kicked behind at bowling pin matches. I love them.
